Maria Cristina Pimiento is a Colombian actress with over 20 years of experience in television, film, and theatre. She earned her MFA in Acting at the Actors Studio in New York and is a recipient of the India Catalina Award for Best New Actress at the Cartagena International Film Festival, the highest acting recognition in Colombia.
Maria Cristina has been featured in numerous television productions in Latin America, often in lead roles, including Amor a la plancha, El capo, Mujeres asesinas (FX), Tiempo final (FX), Pablo Escobar: El patrón del mal (Netflix) and Te voy a enseñar a querer (Telemundo), among others.
In New York, Maria Cristina has also been involved in off Broadway theatre productions such as Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Last Day of Judas Iscariot, in which she played the lead role of Judas. Her most recent work includes three film productions and a short film adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Winter’s Tale, her first production.
